Clothing choices

Image from deleteyourself. Looks like a Sears Portrait Studio collage if you ask me. If you can't read the shirt it says "Waterhole B.I.T.C.H. Beautiful Intelligent Talented Charming and Horny.

What are your worse clothing choice stories? While I had my share of people coming in wearing ridiculous shirts and getting the 9.99 package, the thing that surprised me the most were those that came in wearing horribly wrinkled graduation robes, take photos only in those, and then spend $250 on a package.

OH MY GOD. In all my 18 years in the business I can't think of anything that even comes close.

Shops at radio shack too!

I thought this post was going to be about dress code because of the title. I sure saw a lot of interesting "clothing choices" on my employees during my time at SPS.

I hate people that bring their kids in in dirty, drool soaked, stretched out t-shirts for pictures. At least make an effort.

But, aside from horrible wardrobe choices, what I really really hate is people that bring their kids in, want you to do 4 outfit changes, and then buy the $9.99 pkg. WHY?!?!

And all their portraits show up online, so they can save them from the website (even though they're small, they are still pretty good).

Wow, that is amazing! Haha, that's all i've got to say.

Wow what a real class act, way to capture the tenderness of maternity. If I was the photographer I would have flat out refused to take those pictures in that shirt.

Our studio has the following rules:
No outfit changes for people we KNOW will only get a package. We do not give free items or discounted CDs to package customers. Package customers are subject to a $5 multiple subject fee for up to 3 people, then $10 multiple subject fee for 4+; if they reorder, they are subject to a $25 reorder fee and their sheets are $19.99 regardless of whatever reorder specials we have.

I think the worse thing is when a mom brings in their new baby and they look like crap and their baby looks great. Don't you want pictures of yourself with your baby!?

I hate that people buy the packages, when they could spend the same and get their own damn digital camera and take crappy photos at home.

I once had a couple come in and ask me if I could put their photos on a CD or memory card for free... I worked so hard to cover up my disgust. They also asked for free sheets and all sorts of crap. It doesn't say Sears Free Portraits Studio!!!

Wow, As a customer this is all quite interesting! Especially
"I hate that people buy the packages, when they could spend the same and get their own damn digital camera and take crappy photos at home."

I think you just made my decision easy...I'll get my own DAMN digital camera and take my own CRAPPY photos. This is exactly what I wanted to know. You can keep your crappy photos and I'll keep my money. Maybe YOU won't keep a job!

This is going to be a great picure for your kids. And make sure you are honest when they ask you what the shirt stands for. And you were better off leaving your shirt down for all the pictures, your stomach is not a pretty picture.

hahahahaha... I've read these comments and some are very funny. Its true about the AO 9.99 but seriously the company made the coupon so stop complaining. And as for add. sheets why settle for 20ea. just offer them at 30each diff.pose and 20of the same... and as for reorder cds. aw.... again make a hustle and sell at $60min. for package customers. or buy 2sheets at 30 and cd for 39.99... dont get cheated out of your work. work with your bussiness!

I think most of you people are rude and must not have children of your own. I work full time at minimum wage and do not have $100s to spend on portraits. This photo is disgusting, but as far as people ordering PKGs...isn't that the point in having them offered!? I have 5 children...4 of which are my step-kids. However, the youngest 3 are not in school/ do not get school photos yet. It was nice to be able to spend less than $50(I actually only spent $15) to get a PKG of all my children together. We did not do outfit changes or props etc, but my pics still turned out pretty cute.

HOWEVER my photographer(from Picture Me studios) was rude from the get-go and then wanted to sell me a $500 "deal", I think NOT! My children were freshly bathed, their hair was done, dressed nicely(all new matching shirts, nice dark blue jeans, and clean sneakers).

My family plans on going this summer when they advertise their PKG deal to get a photo of all of us. We do not need tons of "extras" to give to family, we are just getting pics for ourselves.

The welfare trash coming in to get pictures of their dirty kids and wanting FREE items, I don't agree with. Hardworking families trying to get pictures done for less than a fortune I feel is completely acceptable!

PS:My son is 13 mths old, I took him to Olan Mills and thank the lord they had a special going on. He did not want to participate and if it wasn't for the FREE deal, I wouldn't have ordered anything else either. The pictures didn't turn out too great, but I felt bad since the girl was friendly and patient and took her time with my son throwing fits, that I didn't want her to feel as if she wasted her time.

I just started working at searsportrait about a week ago and of course I work at the.... ghetto mall, so of course ive been dealing with ridiculous customers. been getting so many 7.99 coupons, and to top it all off sears came out with a coupon for a free collage, no purchase necessary, no sitting fee, so most people come get just that collage and leave! and my distract manager is a complete douchebag! I'm in nursing school, and had class up untill today so I've been working weekends and afternoons. Today I was scheduled for 3pm- 8 pm.I decided toshow up at 12 to help out, and my distract manager called chewing me out saying" what time did you get in...you were scheduled for 10 am!"ummm no I had a final that started at 10 am. and a class that didnt end untill 2 pm I just happened to have skipped it today. And (please forgivemy grammar and spelling, i exhausted) but her emails are ridicuilous, she can'tspell anything and her grammar is just horrific! They keep getting on our asses about "you need more sittings, you need to increase your sales" when someone comes in with a 7.99 coupon, you'relucky if you get them to buy one extra picture at 19.99 , you'r not going to get them into a $100 collection! its just not gonna happen! and sniper appointments... are youkiddingme? you cant just walk around the mall and grab people and be like "come take pictures!" if they arent prepared to take pics they definitely won't buy them!

All I have to say is that this is poor taste to post. This picture is horrible and offensive! The girl looks like she is 16 on top of it!
